Day 4 Remote Learning

Day 4 Remote Learning

Greetings, ARCS Families!

Congratulations!  We made it through our first week of Remote Learning!  We have learned together!  Thank you, parents, for EVERYTHING that you have done to help your children navigate through a new way of learning.  While we know that the children have been continuing with their education, the teachers, staff, and I certainly miss the daily interaction with them and them with one another.  We were made to be in relationship with each other, and “social distancing” is not easy for any of us!

We still have not received further direction regarding how long remote learning will last,  yet we know we are continuing for next week!  Our teachers are fine tuning their lessons and look forward to connecting with their students on Monday.

It is great to see all the pictures that you post of your children learning!  Please continue to do that next week.  Monday, March 23 will be ARCS Spirit Day.  Please ask your children to wear their ARCS Spirit Wear and post pictures of them doing their work!

Friday, March 27 will be a professional development day for teachers, and the students will not receive any assignments.  This day will give our teachers the opportunity to reflect on the first two weeks of remote learning and to prepare if we go into a third week.  I am sure that the children will enjoy a long weekend!

Please know of my continued gratitude to our teachers and to you!  We are a family and together we will get through this time.

The Gospel for the 4th Sunday of Lent is about the man born blind.  Jesus heals him and he is brought into the light.  May we always recognize that Jesus’ light is there for us even when it feels dark outside!

Below is today’s Remote Learning Update Day 4

I hope you are able to attend Mass this weekend through livestream!

With a grateful heart,

Joan Dollinger
